Jonathan Hollywood Hannon and I have taken down another world record. I wouldn’t have minded breaking this record with a sports figure maybe a little more famous if I got to keep the jersey, but Jonathan was probably more fun to do this with.
The Guinness World Records title was for the fastest time to swap sports jerseys. They had to be pre-approved by Guinness so I’m glad these ones worked since they’re some of the most famous sports characters in movies (ok, that may be a stretch). The previous record was 5.79 seconds. We set a goal of sub 5 seconds. We had several attempts beat the previous record but not go under 5 including two in 5.00 flat and one at 5.03. We spent days trying to take this one down. We finally got a 4.44 second run taking almost 25% off the previous mark which we’re pretty happy with. We each had to start not touching the shirt, get it off, hand it to the other person, and get the other one on, below the waist, with arms out to the side before the clock would stop. When moving that fast the results can be hilarious as the video shows.
