Breaking Records: The Longest Duration Blindfolded Dribbling
Hello everyone,
I’m David Rush, and I’d like to share a recent Guinness World Record attempt with you. This time, I set out to break the record for the longest duration dribbling a basketball blindfolded. Here’s how it all went down.
The First Attempt
I initially dribbled a basketball continuously for one hour, 55 minutes, and 21 seconds. Yes, you read that right. I did it blindfolded and sitting down. The previous record was one hour, six minutes, and 38 seconds. However, there was a catch. My attempt was disqualified because chairs apparently aren’t allowed on basketball courts, which is supposidly why sitting wasn’t permitted. Ouch! That was a tough pill to swallow.
The Determined Comeback
Could I let the result stand? Absolutely not! I had to try again. This time, I grabbed my basketball and started dribbling while standing the entire time. It was much harder on my back, and I had less control. Mistakes were easier to make, but I was determined.
The Record-Breaking Moment
After dribbling for one hour, 37 minutes, and two seconds, the witnesses had to leave, but the record was mine! It was a challenging yet satisfying experience, and I’m proud to add this to my list of records.
Why I Do It
Breaking records isn’t just about the titles. It’s about pushing the limits, inspiring others, and showing that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible. I hope my journey motivates you to chase your dreams, no matter how big or small and feel free to reach out if you’re looking for a speaker for your next event.
