Hey, it’s David Rush here, and I’m thrilled to share the story of how I broke one of the hardest Guinness World Records I’ve ever attempted: the **the most bites taken out of three apples in one minute while juggling them**. This record is as wild as it sounds, and achieving it was never a given.
*The Record-Breaking Moment** In 2024, at the Guinness World Records headquarters in London, I attempted this record again after first setting it back in 2018 at the MIT Juggling Convention with **164 bites**. I had professional juggler asking me at that event how much practice it took. I honestly told him it took months. They were defeated already. This time, I pushed myself to the limit and achieved A number I don’t think I would even have a believed before I did it **198 bites in one minute**. That’s over **3 bites per second**.
The rules are strict so each bite has to be small, precise, and fast. There’s no time to swallow (even though swallowing is allowed), so I had to spit out the bites while keeping the apples in motion (but only after my mouth couldn’t hold anymore to be efficient). It’s a chaotic, intense, and utterly exhilarating challenge. I even had to struggle with apple juice in my eye during the attempt. The Guinness adjudicator was on hand to verify the attempt on the spot, and I walked away with the official certificate. This record is one of the hardest I’ve ever broken, and I’m incredibly proud of the result.
**Why This Record Matters** Ok, so it doesn’t… not really, but it’s not just about biting apples or juggling—it’s about pushing mself. It’s a reminder that with focus, determination, and a willingness to embrace the absurd, we can achieve extraordinary things. When I first set this record in 2018, I never thought I’d break it again. But in 2024, I proved to myself that even the most challenging goals can be surpassed with hard work and persistence.
