Hey there, record-breaking enthusiasts! Hold onto your hats because we’ve got an electrifying story to share with you. 🌟 TikTok and YouTube sensation Josh Horton and I recently joined forces to shatter the world record for the most hugs in a single minute – and oh boy, was it a ride! 🚀
Picture this: 153 hugs in just 60 seconds. Yes, you read that right! But here’s the kicker – this wasn’t your average record attempt. With Josh boasting over 30 world records under his belt (impressive, right?), there were bound to be some twists and turns. Apologies to his wife Cassie, who unfortunatley lost her sole record to me a couple years ago – talk about a friendly rivalry! 😅
It all went down in the Los Angeles, where I had just wrapped up a stint on “America’s Got Talent.” But the excitement didn’t stop there! I rendezvoused with Josh Horton to film a YouTube video. Our mission? To compete for World Records on 2v2 teams.
We decided to tackle the official Guinness world record for the most hugs in a minute. Anthony Anderson and Darius Rucker snagged the title on Carpool Karaoke but didn’t put their ands to their sides?!? So we decided to ignore that rule as well!
As the clock ticked, we lined up like pros and embraced the chaos – quite literally. Hug after hug, we pushed ourselves to unprecedented speeds. But let’s be real, even records come with their challenges. Our pace hit warp speed, only to remind us that not all records are meant to be shattered in one swift swoop. With a collective breath, we eased up a tad, exhaustion creeping in as the seconds ticked by.
In those fleeting moments, hearts pounding and breaths racing, the finish line was in sight. But we weren’t out of the woods yet. We counted 163 hugs, only to realize that slow-motion playback had other plans. A few hugs had to be dropped from the count because they weren’t following all the other rules and that’s what we submitted to Guinness: 153.
Now we await Guinness’ official verdict. Will our 153 hugs clinch the coveted title? Only time will tell.
